Indeed, a Super Bowl for the ages. For several weeks we've been plastered by corrupt politics, especially from the party of corruption -- the dems, naturally -- all the while marveling at the end of the college bowl games and the pro football playoffs.
Obama's victory was, yes, historic, but there seems not much changed since he's hired on virtually all of the Clinton-era has-beens. Kind of ironical, really. (My word.)
There is not much excitement from me from this administration -- no, I'm not thrilled that he's the CinC of our military, and no, I'm not convinced of his legal status as a U.S. citizen, but he does have a fawning national media (I wonder why -- perhaps, its guilt, or idolatry, or even hero worship -- no matter, journalism from the left is corrupt also).
Well, with a wonderful Super Bowl for 2009, we witnessed two teams that gave their all, evenly matched, not asking favors from the democrats for 'stimulus' monies, two private organizations working their magic for a great sport. (Be alert, however, the player's union, notoriously alligned with unions and democrats, may have the last word!)
Will Obama gain his stride in coming weeks? I doubt it -- Pelosi and Reid will not be denied, not even by Obama. It is a lonely existence 'outside' all three branches of our republic -- the GOP must find its way back. Let's hope this wilderness is short-lived, i.e. two years.
