Following retirement from active military service, opportunities abound for enjoying life-long interests -- golf, reading, politics, traveling, and visiting our sons and watching them get a hold on life. Several years ago, during one of my last military assignments, I enjoyed the privilege of writing a weekly column for a neighborhood newspaper. That activity inspired me to become more observant of life and activity around me and the community I lived in -- Brooklyn, New York. Recently, as the blog reflects, I've decided to continue my 'pleasure' writing through this medium. I suspect that I will become more bold in my expressions and projections.
